Future Product Pipeline

Denture fixative cream with organic olive oil & Alginate

In addition to providing effective adhesion of the removable dental prosthesis to the mucosal surface, denture adhesive creams should not cause mucosal damage, be user friendly and comfortable, have a neutral odor and taste, be easily removable, prevent the proliferation of microorganisms, and be non-toxic and non-irritating.

Alginate is one of the most frequently used dental materials. It is hypoallergenic (unlikely to cause an allergic reaction) material that dental professionals use. In addition to the presence of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, our denture fixative cream will be based also on alginate which makes the product natural and free from petrochemicals.

Brushing solution for whitening teeth

Teeth whitening is a booming market dominated by products including toothpastes, strips, gels, and LED light teeth whitening devices to remove stains from teeth. Many of these products can lead to side effects such as gum irritation and can therefore only be used for short time periods. bonyf intends to market a teeth-whitening brushing solution, based on its in-house effervescent core technology. It is simple and easy to use, with no trays or syringes. The brushing solution is mixed at home and eliminates the need for regular toothpaste during the course of the 20-day treatment. A profound whitening effect has been clinically proven with excellent tolerability at the gum level. This product is also ideal for people with sensitive gums, which accounts for 50% of the population. Product classification: Cosmetic Device.

Brushing solution for Pets to restore healthy gums & good breath

Over 80% of dogs and cats suffer from bleeding gums. As a result of the high safety & clinical efficacy obtained with bonyf’s oral care products, a similar product will be launched for veterinary purposes.

First clinical case studies performed in dogs suffering from gingivitis are indicating promising results both in terms of efficacy and safety. A large clinical trial in dogs will commence shortly.

Under Development

Gingival paste to relieve gum bleeding and sensitivity

Gingivitis is caused by accumulation of plaque, debris or calculus on the teeth mainly due to a poor oral hygiene. It can progress to more serious conditions like periodontitis, which is responsible for tooth loss, by altering the contour and position of the gingiva. Gingivitis causes irritation, redness and swelling of gums and is reversible. Good gingival health can be restored with careful early treatment and good oral hygiene.

Our next generation gingival paste is intended to be used as an adjunctive antiplaque agent in managing gingivitis. Due to its mucoadhesive properties, it adheres to the gum and teeth during its application and maintains its key components in close contact leading to improvement of oral health in terms of bleeding and plaque reduction.

Post-scaling paste that helps dentists

to relieve gum pain and bleeding

Patients suffering from gingivitis and periodontitis undergo a scaling and root planing (SRP) procedure by the dentist to remove bacterial plaque built-up on the gum-line and in the periodontal pockets. This treatment is invasive and causes temporary gum inflammation, bleeding and pain.

A NitrAdine®-based disinfecting muco-adhesive cream (paste dressing) that the dentist can apply directly on the treated areas of the gums will be evaluated by bonyf.

This could ensure gums can recover properly as the muco-adhesive paste will protect and isolate the treated area from post treatment infections. This product can also be used by dental implant surgeons to protect the implant area post dental implant placement to prevent cross contamination and reduce pain.

R&D Potential Future Applications

Anti-biofilm toothpaste

To complement the NitrAdine® based 10-day PerioTabs® treatment, a toothpaste based on bonyf’s anti-biofilm NitrAdine® formulation is being developed. This toothpaste will provide consumers the ideal product to maintain an optimal daily dental hygiene regime developed to be used in conjunction with PerioTabs®.

The toothpaste technology for this product is already in place in bonyf’s manufacturing plant and can therefore assure the production can take place as scheduled.

Wart removal paste

Warts are caused by an infection with a virus called HPV (Human Papilloma Virus). Their growth can appear anywhere on the body and are easily transmittable. Common warts are found on average in 1 out of 5 people. Most products on the market are based on salicylic acid and/or freezing procedures to kill the virus infected cells.

This procedure of wart removal can be painful and uncomfortable. bonyf’s vision is to develop a wart removal paste based on its proven anti-viral NitrAdine® formulation with the hope of commencing clinical trials in the future.
